Tempered glass ESG

The tempered glass ESG is manufactured on the basis of the ordinary float glass, as well as the soft- and hard-coated glass, ornamented and dyed in mass glass. The basic glass is a subject of the tempering process, which consists in warming up a raw material to the temperature 620 – 680 °C, and then is rapidly cooled in the stream of the compressed air. As a result, there occur the compression stresses what significantly exceeds its durability. The tempered glass ESG is a few times more durable than the ordinary glass of the same thickness, and in case of breaking it falls apart for the small parts featuring the blunt edges and not for the sharp needles. The tempered glass may be used in all cases, in which the provisions require using the safety glasses. It is used both in the construction industry, and in the furniture industry, for instance for the production of the automobile glasses.

Advanatages of the tempered glass ESG:

  • high resistance to mechanical stresses,
  • lower risk of wounding due to a nature of the glass shards developed when it is broken
  • higher durability to the quick changes of the ambient temperature.

Production capabilities:

The Effector tempered glass is produced with an aid of the latest technology equipment: GLASTON brands.

Production capabilities - the GLASTON technology

In the Glaston tempering furnace, Effect glass produces the tempered glass using the traditional technology.
